Our herd is being made dramatically smaller right now since we will move to NC in the future.

Great prices on some of the best bred, healthy and happy miniature donkeys: jennets, one perfect 29" jack, a beautiful mom with her 7-mo old daughter at her side (NOT out of DMF Marcellus) ; we also have 1 and maybe more bred jennets.

All are all up do date on vaccines, hoof care, de-wormers, and halter-trained to lead nicely.  They are Oh-So-Social and lovely, calming companions!

T.E.F. Nigel's Noelle - 35" dark silver, black muzzle 5 yr old jennet .. $750

 She is a dear, sweet eager-to-please young lady who has not been bred, but will certainly have wonderful babies.  She is a daughter of DMF Nigel, our former herdsire, who has been gelded and sold to a loving home in CNY.  Noelle may be bred to DMF Marcellus in the spring of 2010.

She has a short, sweet 'Roman' nose and very long ears.  Noelle has the softest coat we have ever experienced and loves kids, adults, other donkeys and gentle horses.

DMF Miss Winston 32" .. DOB 07/18/2002 - Pink or Rose Dun

and jennet foal, Miley,17" at birth DOB 06/23/09 - foal coat is deep chocolate.         

This gal is our very best bred jennet with a wonderful attitude, near-perfect conformation and such beautiful pink/sorrel highlights in her coloring.  She is built much like her dad, My World Winston and has the sought after stocky frame, perfect bite, amazing top line, ears and really round rear! Her bloodlines tie to 445+ documented ancestors from two of the most-favored bloodlines in the country ..  My World and Dewey Meadows! This gal is wonderful for farriers as long as you scratch her chest and give her treats for each positive move, ha. Performs and walks nicely.  Loves to log step; potential for donkey performance.

Hurry, this gal will NOT last long!  She is a proven broodmare who delivered a tiny jack for us in the summer of 2007 and a really teeny gal, Miley, the last week of June '09!  She is gorgeous, too!

Mom and daughter pair is priced at $2600

If sold separately ( once Miley is weaned ) Miss Winston will be priced at $1700.   Miley will be $900, until age two, then Miley's price will increase relative to her conformation and temperament.

Miley's summer coat (below) was completely bleached to red.  Her baby shed at neck and shoulders and legs now reveals black or the darkest brown.  She is lovely and we may decide to keep Miley for ourselves in NC.

Kritter Korner's Shady Lady - 32 1/2" bred to DMF Nigel(?) unconfirmed

Shady is offered as an 'open' jennet for $750  -  though she could well be bred.

Shady is a beautiful slate silver grey with a black nose, soft coat and great personality!

Shady has had only pitch black babies her entire life when bred to Dewey Meadows Nigel, our charcoal black senior herdsire (now gelded).  We have to strictly limit her time on pasture, or she gets too much protein. Good quality grass hay is wonderful year round for her, but she can have the occasional pasture grazing treat with pals in late summer and fall for a few hours per day. A friendly gal who comes when called from pasture, she is a sweet 16 year old and still producing great babies with superior conformation.

 Offered as an 'open' jennet for .. $2000  -  though she may indeed be bred, unconfirmed.

 Our special gal who meets 90% of all conformation points, has a AA+ temperament, GREAT pedigree, a Dewey Meadows Nigel daughter, and just loves people!   This gal is the greatest we've ever had through purchase or birth - we were so lucky to have had her born here.  

She may have been successfully bred to our 29" dark/red jack .. but we have not had her tested.  This is a blue-ribbon girl with my terrible photo.  Her 'chubby appearance is likely her bred condition beginning to appear - we hope!  She has a barely discernible cross & stripe though this photo was taken in bright sunlight. Can be bred to DMF Marcellus spring 2010.

Our darling tag-along spotted gal just moved out of her yearling stage and into a teenage state.  Her friendliness is beyond description - to meet her is to fall in love with her.  She is a granddaughter of the famous Blizzard's Rainbow; her mom is EA Okie and dad is Dewey Meadows Nigel, and gosh, this daughter just has it all.  Has inherited all the best traits of both parents and has some of her own, ha!

Folks driving by or visiting for the first time say... thought it was a little cow, then a pinto, then we didn't know WHAT with those EARS!   LOL.

Craigs Lil Hee Haw Kelsie - 5 yrs - 34" - Chocolate

 Kelsie was a top notch loving mom to her first and only baby two years ago, and has a fabulous temperament.  She is a very alert and intelligent gal - a drafty, stocky gal who loves jobs and challenges.  She is a great breeder and a wonderful jennet to have on our farm.  Loves her female farrier and does well with all herd members.  She has a very long and deep pedigree with some outstanding bloodlines.  Had her first foal - a little chocolate gal, Bridgette, in '08.

Kelsie was bred this summer (2009) to our 29" 3-yr old dark red/brown jack and if she is in foal, her baby will be amazing! Her pregnancy is unconfirmed.

Nigel has a special place in our family, and had a wonderful cameo some years ago on Animal Planet!  He is highly intelligent, in wonderful health, looks like a 6 year old stud, and was recently retired as our Sr Herdsire and gelded.  We found a very special family for Nigel along with his beautiful daughter.  

Nigel walks, stands, loves the farrier, has no issues or bad habits. He adores kids, his pals and his people.  He learns routines at once, and we will miss him more than any other donkey on our farm as our life adventures soon take us to NC.
