Our Jennets

MaM Keelin .. May 8, 2005, Very dark chocolate, NLP

MaM Keelin is going to be bred this summer to our newest dark red Dewey Meadows jack, DM Marcellus!  A coming two year old stud for this three year old darkest chocolate perfectly comformed gal!  She has a barely discernible cross and not a light point to be found!  33", stocky and graceful.  Another very well socialized and gorgeous lady out of Dewey Meadows Nigel and Kritters Korners Shady Lady!   Watch for her baby early summer 2009!  She will be special!

TEF Noelle .. Dec 25, 2003

Noelle is a 4 year old Dewey Meadows Nigel daughter!  With NLP and a great rear end, stocky build and beautiful temperament, she will make a beautiful broodmare!

We will breed her to our junior herdsire, Dewey Meadows Marcellus in summer '08.  This picture makes her back look a little long.. it is actually nicely  balanced with her neck, height and hind quarters.

Thanks to Dee and Bill Thorp of Quakerstown, PA for raising such a wonderfully 'fit' gal!

                          Boelen's Lil Jessie .. Sept 29, 2003 Chocolate jennet

This is another of our favorite jennets because of her sense of mischief and daring spirit.  Sometimes we think she truly believes she is still a weanling. Jessie was one of our first breeding jennets and arrived as a 5 month old, along with her two half-sisters.

You can almost see in her eyes, that  "come play with me" look!  Jessie had her first foal in 2007out of DM Nigel .. a gorgeous black jack with a darling white nose!  She has passed on her mellow, loving temperament to her son, who we have sold to a farm with 500 horses, along with his half-brother. Lovely pedigrees and stocky builds from both dam and sire!  Jessie will be re-bred in mid-summer to DM Nigel because we don't want to disturb a great pairing like this!

Little Friends Ranch Cookie II .. April 20, 1999 33 1/4", grey jennet

Cookie was the first jennet on our farm!  She is therefore our alpha jennet - shown here with her 2008 jenny foal, MaM Morgan, born a week ago!  Mom is looking very lovely again!  She has a great built, temperament and is our born leader.  She is a petite short-faced sweet pea!  Her white eyeliner and gorgeous stripe and cross and super long ears make her a wonderful daughter!  Cookie always produces beautiful, confident jennys -- sofar, no males.  Her baby will be available for sale in October 2008.

Dewey Meadows Miss Winston .. July 18, 2002, 33 1/2" grey dun

DM Miss Winston at age 4. She stands at 33 1/2" proud, and is our deepest pedigree gal.  Miss W has an all-over reddish/pink unusual coloring.  She is notoriously friendly and has a really neat squared white muzzle-color line that you can see in this picture, and wonderfully placed eyes!  She has heavy zebra striping on her legs and super ears.

This little lady has incredible lineage, and we are proud to have her as part of our foundation herd. She is truly unique!

Thank you to Lynn Gattari/Dewey Meadows Farm in Rome, New York for breeding and selling this wonderful jennet to us!

Miss W foaled a TINY NLP beautiful jack [Bailey] on 4/28/07 which we've gelded. He's wonderful all over, but we have our herdsires established.  See Bailey now on our 'For Sale' page.

Little Friends Chaulpa .. DOB April 13, 2006, medium brown jennet 33".

This friendly and happy, well-built girl is 'brown', but has red highlights thgouthout her coat.  She is very social, stands well for the farrier, is up to date on all vaccines, worming and hoofcare (next visit is 4/21).  She adores attention and hugs, walks, treas and is a confident girl with no vices.

We will plan to breed Chalupa next spring, since she is too young this year for our breeding program.  Chalupa's sire is Black Bart 34 1/4" black; dam is WindSong's Jean Ann, 33" light brown.  Her recent ancestors include Dewey Meadows, Hartman, LN, Circle C Little Motown, Carpenter Farm Charlie My Boy, Lugino and other strong breeding stock.    We have an extraordinary, long tail, and we're as cute as can be.  Chalupa also sports HUGE soft eyes, and extra long ears!

Can't wait to see her first offspring!
