THIS Purchase Agreement is made on______________, 2008, by Michael Broader and Eileen Sabine (Marcell-ass Minis) ("Sellers") to _______________________________("Buyers").

Sellers own and desire to sell _______________________,  Miniature Mediterranean Donkey(s), to Buyer, and Buyer desires to purchase this (these) donkey(s) from Seller, at the price and the subject to the terms and conditions below.

In consideration of the mutual covenants and promises contained here, Seller and Buyer agree, represent and warrant as follows:

1. Sale and Purchase. Seller hereby sells and conveys the donkey to Buyer and Buyer hereby purchases and acquires the donkey from Seller, at the Purchase Price and subject to the terms and conditions below.

2. Purchase Price and Payment. The Purchase Price for the donkey(s): $____________ dollars AND the cost of any required or Buyer-requested health check, Health Certificate, blood test, etc. which is to be paid to the Seller (less any deposit $ __________) at the time the Buyer acquires the donkey.

3. The Delivery of the donkey: Seller will deliver donkey(s) for a reasonable cost to Buyer within 250 miles.  Delivery will occur on a date mutually agreed to by both parties, but not longer than 30 days after deposit it taken to hold the donkey(s) selected by Buyer unless a mutually agreeable alternate time is finalized.

4. Seller's Other Warranties.

-         Seller hereby states, represents and warrants that the donkey(s) is free and clear of any and all liens and encumbrances of any nature.

-         Seller warrants the health condition of this animal for 30-days once leaving Seller’s farm. [Seller is not able to warranty conditions occurring on Buyer’s property].

-         The donkey is up to date on all of the following vaccinations:

o       Rhinopneumonitis, E&W, Influenza

o       ESE (given at birth on our farm)

o       Tetanus Toxoid 

-  The animal has had no serious illness or injury since being owned by Seller, unless disclosed by Seller to Buyer before receiving deposit.

-  The animal is up to date on wormer administrations.

-  The animal is up to date on all hoof trims necessary.

 

5. Seller will provide Buyer with the following items when Buyer acquires the donkeys:

o       Halter

o       Lead rope

o       Health Record

o       Registration Certificate or copy of the application for same (if applicable)

o       Transfer of Ownership form (if applicable)

o       Bale of donkey’s home hay for diet transition

6. Buyer will pay boarding expenses of $2.00 per day per donkey purchased if not picked up or allowed to be delivered within 30 days of this signing.  Exceptions for suckling to weanling state or mutual agreement between buyer and seller or Buyer/Seller agree on another date.

7. Buyer will pay delivery fees (current prevailing federal mileage rate + tolls) except as stated above with the first 50 miles being free of charge.

We order all vaccines and pet supplies from  Jefferspets.com .. hoof conditioner, hoofpicks, Horseman’s Dream coat conditioner, etc. 

We use Tractor Supply Company for our 'foal' sized flymasks for all of our adult donkeys, horsetreats and Mineral Block with trace Selenium.

Hay cannot contain ‘dock’ which is the red or black seedheaded weed.  It WILL make your donkey sick.  Donkeys cannot be exposed to ANY part of walnut:  leaves, wood, nuts, bark, shavings, etc.  Shavings used for bedding must be PINE only, containing no walnut.   

Do not put a coat on your donkey in cold weather.  They do NOT need it.  Bring them into a barn in snow, rain and high winds.  The barn requires year round ventilation.  Figure something out for the animals - which will come with time.  You will all learn together and have such fun!   

Heated buckets are the only way to keep winter water from freezing. 

The donkeys LOVE walks with you on halter and lead - and it's great exercise for both of you :)  

DO NOT LET YOUR family pet dogs in the pasture or turnouts with your donkeys.  The dogs lose every time.  

 

REMEMBER:              Good Quality Hay (10% or LESS alfalfa) soft grass hay. 

24/7 access salt block WITH TRACE MINERALS & Selenium. 

 24/7 access to fresh, ample water supply, NEVER iced over. 

 24/7 access to shelter from rain, wind, snow 

 6-7 week hoof trims!  

Annual Vaccinations - Tetanus and E&W at a minimum.

 If you find that you cannot continue to provide these things for your donkey(s), please call us and we will come for them immediately, no questions asked.  They are always welcome back on our farm!   Call ANYTIME with questions, no matter how goofy they seem to you.  315 673-0858.  Emergencies:  315 380-0926…     Love your little critters, and they will love you back 100-fold!
